LOCATION

Livingston is only accesible by water. By sea, from Punta Gorda (Belice) or from Puerto Barrios (Guatemala), and by river from the town of Río Dulce (Fronteras). Possibly this relative isolation contributes to make Livingston the safest municipality in Guatemala, with the lowest index of delinquency and criminality in the country.

To travel from Guatemala City, we recommend the buses from Litegua (http://www.litegua.com). Clase and Plus are the most confortable.

A daily boat travels from Pto. Barrios-Livingston. Monday to Saturday: at 10:15 a.m., and 4:15 p.m. Sunday at 10:15 a.m. Crossing takes some 1:30 hours. Fare: Q. 15.

Collective motorboats regularly leave from Barrios to Livingston and do the crossing in 30 minutes. Fare: Q. 35. Regular daily departures at 6:30 a.m., 7:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Also anytime whenever the boat capacity is fulfilled (approx., every hour).

From Fronteras (Río Dulce). Fare: Q. 100 per person. Departures from Fronteras (Río Dulce) at 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (http://www.livingston.com.gt/comollegar.htm).

Daily boat service between Punta Gorda and Puerto Barrios. Boat from Livingston to Punta Gorda on Tuesday and Friday.

Once you are in the pier in Livingston, get a taxi (Q. 10) to take you to “Callejón de Flowas”, in Barrio Campo Amor. You walk down the alley towards the beach some 100 meters, and then another 100 meters down the beach until you reach us. It is easy and well indicated. Once you are here, it is worth the trouble!!

We are located at about 1 km from downtown Livingston. It adds to our beauty and tranquility. It is a nice 20 minutes walk along the beach….but for your first arrival carrying luggage, we suggest the taxi ride!
